Alpharetta Police Explorers
Post 919
Established in 1993, the Alpharetta Police Explorers is a non-profit, community based program offered through the Alpharetta Police Department. The program is open to both males and females ages 14 to 21. The program is geared towards law enforcement training and activities included but not limited to: traffic stops, domestic crisis, SWAT operations, firearm safety, arrest procedures, crime scene investigation, and crimes in progress. The Explorer Post also attends competitions throughout the southeast, competing with other Explorer Posts in different law enforcement scenarios. Explorers are also able to observe in the Alpharetta Police Department's Communications Center and to ride along with police officers on patrol.
